The new competitive team sport is derived from cheerleading! Stunt removes the crowd-leading element and focuses on the technical and athletic components of cheer, which include partner stunts, pyramids, basket tosses, jumps, and tumbling in a game format. Stunt is a CIF high school varsity sport and a Title IX collegiate sport. Prepare your athlete now for success in high school and college.

It is a head-to-head game where two teams go up against each other, performing identical routines divided into four quarters:

  • 1st Quarter: Partner Stunts
  • 2nd Quarter: Jumps and Tumbling
  • 3rd Quarter: Pyramid and Tosses
  • 4th Quarter: Team Routine Consisting of all Three

Within each quarter, 2-4 rounds of play occur, depending on the age category. Each “round” follows a preset routine for partner stunts, jumps and tumbling, pyramid and tosses, and a team routine.

Scoring officials evaluate the teams, considering the number and severity of errors made during play. The team with the fewest deductions in each round is declared the winner, earning points toward their final score.
